Medical Weight Loss with Muscle Preservation
It's not a willpower problem. It's a biology problem.
You've tried the diets. You've fought the cravings. You've lost weight only to gain it back.
GLP-1 medications (semaglutide and tirzepatide) work with your body's hunger hormones — quieting food noise, reducing cravings, and helping you feel satisfied with less.
At Rift Health Co, you get:
- Personalized dose adjustments based on YOUR response
- Monthly progress monitoring + unlimited messaging support
- Evidence-based muscle preservation strategies and nutrition guidance
- Transparent pricing: flat rate monthly medication and service fees
This is comprehensive care — not a prescription mill.
Ongoing Support & Monitoring
We’re Not for Everyone — And That’s Okay
To be clear: this isn’t a “quick fix shot and be done” program.
We are serious about doing this right. Our goal isn’t just weight loss — it’s helping you gain strength, increase energy, reduce chronic disease risk, and feel better in your body for the long term.
Our patients want to do the work. They also want expert guidance, accountability, and evidence-based support. If you just want a shot and aren’t interested in making lifestyle changes, we’re not the best fit for you.

Why We Do It This Way
Many clinics bundle medication into their membership fee — leaving you guessing what you’re actually paying for. We believe in full transparency. Your membership covers your clinical care. Your medication is priced separately and clearly, so you always know exactly what you’re getting and what it costs.
We also require a 3-month minimum — and here’s why we’re honest about that: real, lasting change takes time. Three months is the minimum needed to adjust your treatment plan, manage any side effects, and most importantly, allow new habits to take root. We’re not interested in quick fixes. We’re invested in your long-term success.
Membership begins on the date of your first prescription fill. Cancel with 30 days notice after your initial commitment period.
GLP-1 Injectable Medications
Your medication is prescribed and managed by your provider as part of your personalized treatment plan. We work with both FDA-approved manufacturer programs and compounding pharmacies — the right choice depends on your individual clinical needs, insurance status, and treatment goals.

Option 2 — Compounded GLP-1 Medications
In some cases, FDA-approved manufacturer medications are not clinically appropriate. Your provider will document specific medical justification in your chart. Cost and patient preference are not valid clinical justifications under current FDA guidance.
When compounding may be appropriate:
- Allergy or sensitivity to inactive ingredients — Documented allergy or intolerance to an inactive ingredient in the commercial formulation that is not present in the compounded alternative
- Super-responder dosing — Patients experiencing excessive or unsafe weight loss at the lowest commercially available dose, requiring a concentration not available in any FDA-approved format to prevent lean muscle loss, nutritional deficiency, or unsafe rate of loss
- Prior GLP-1 intolerance requiring dose modification — Documented history of significant adverse GI effects requiring initiation at a dose lower than any commercially available option
- Clinical need for a specific additive — Need for a combined formulation not available in any FDA-approved product, such as pyridoxine (B6) for documented nausea management
Compounded medication pricing — flat rate regardless of dose:
| Medication | Monthly | Quarterly |
|---|---|---|
| Compounded Semaglutide | $110/mo | $330 |
| Compounded Tirzepatide | $199/mo | $597 |
Medication shipped directly to your door. Shipping included.
About Our Compounding Choices
When compounded medication is prescribed, we frequently include Glycine and Methylcobalamin (active B12) in the formulation when clinically appropriate.
Methylcobalamin (Active B12)
The active, bioavailable form of B12 that requires no conversion in the body — unlike cyanocobalamin. During GLP-1 therapy, reduced food intake creates real risk of B12 depletion. Methylcobalamin supports neurological function, energy metabolism, and peripheral nerve health. It is particularly important for patients with MTHFR gene variants or known B12 absorption issues.
Glycine
A conditionally essential amino acid that becomes depleted during periods of rapid weight loss. Glycine supports collagen synthesis and lean muscle preservation — both critical when losing weight quickly. It also supports gut lining integrity, carries anti-inflammatory properties, and evidence suggests it improves sleep quality, which directly impacts weight loss outcomes and metabolic health.
The goal is not just weight loss — it is healthy, sustainable weight loss that preserves muscle, supports energy, and minimizes side effects. Our compounding choices reflect that philosophy.
Your medication may also be compounded with additional ingredients based on your individual clinical needs and your provider’s judgment. Not every patient receives the same formulation. Your provider selects additives based on your health history, side effect profile, and treatment goals. The right compound is the one that is right for you.
All medications require an active membership and valid prescription. Medication pricing is separate from your monthly membership fee. Prices subject to change with advance notice.
Laboratory testing is required at your initial consultation (baseline) and every 6 months thereafter to ensure safe and effective treatment.
You have three options for completing your required labs:
Option 1: Upload Recent Labs from Your Primary Care Provider If you have had labs completed within the past 6 months through your PCP or another provider, you may upload those results to your patient portal. Required tests include: fasting CMP, Lipids, TSH, CBC. Optional but recommended: HbA1c, Fasting Insulin, and Vitamin D.
Option 2: Use Your Insurance at a Local Lab We can provide you with a lab order to take to any Quest or LabCorp location. You may use your insurance coverage (check your benefits for lab coverage first). You are responsible for any costs associated with the lab draw based on your insurance plan.
Option 3: Cash-Pay Lab Kit (Rupa Health) We will send a lab draw kit directly to your home at no charge. You take the kit to any participating lab location near you for your blood draw.
Cost:
- Lab kit and processing: $65
- Blood draw fee: $25–35 (paid directly to the lab at time of service)
- Total out-of-pocket: ~$100
Testing Frequency:
- Baseline labs required before your initial consultation
- Follow-up labs every 6 months while on treatment
Additional Testing: À la carte lab panels are available for additional testing as clinically indicated. Pricing varies by panel.
